About the role
Betsson Group is hiring a Tech Lead for its Player Account Management area. You would be one of the most senior engineers in the team, guiding technical design and delivery while staying hands-on.
What you’d do
You would lead design decisions with the area architects and review major changes before they go ahead. You would also put the case for improvements in stability, performance and code quality, and set standards for the teams. Much of the work is practical: researching new technology, building proofs of concept and getting stuck into critical issues. You would help hire engineers through technical interviews, then coach, mentor and train them.
What you need
You need deep experience designing distributed microservices and cacheable REST APIs, ideally with Docker and Kubernetes. You should know real-time messaging such as Kafka, work confidently with SQL and NoSQL databases and have run observability for high-availability systems. Coaching experience matters too, as does working on your own initiative under pressure. It helps if you know .NET, have used AWS and communicate clearly.
About the employer
Betsson Group is an iGaming company with its HQ in Malta and offices in several other countries.
