About the role
Betsson Group is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer for its Platform Core team in Malta. You would run the Kubernetes and Kafka platforms that its web apps, APIs and backend services depend on.
What you’d do
You would manage the core platform as code, including Kubernetes clusters, message brokers and infrastructure tooling. You would turn these platforms into self-service tools, so developers can run their own apps across environments. You would also fix efficiency, performance and scale problems with other teams. The role includes an on-call rotation.
What you need
You need strong experience running Kubernetes clusters and multi-region Kafka, plus Terraform for infrastructure as code. You should know AWS well, including its compute and networking services, and be at home on Linux with version control. You also need scripting skills, experience with open-source monitoring tools and a grasp of ITIL and DevOps practices. It helps if you have run managed Kubernetes on AWS.
