About the role
RS2 is hiring a DevOps Engineer to run the build and release pipelines for its payments software, BankWORKS. The role is centred on CI/CD automation and release management across AWS and Azure environments.
What you'd do
You would build and maintain the pipelines in Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD, and fix build or deployment failures when they happen. Release work is a big part of it: branching, versioning, artifact repositories and coordinating production releases. You would also wire automated testing and security scans into the pipelines with the development and QA teams, support containerised deployments with Docker and Kubernetes, track delivery metrics, and keep runbooks and release documentation current.
What you need
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar, with extensive Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD experience and hands-on release management. You should script in Shell, Python, Groovy or PowerShell, know Git well, and have worked with AWS or Azure, containers, and Linux and Windows administration. Fluent English is required. Infrastructure as Code, GitOps tooling, code scanning tools or related certifications are a plus.
