About the role
Betsson Group is hiring Data Engineers in Malta to develop and improve its data platform. The work includes designing new pipelines and maintaining streaming systems used for batch loads and real-time dashboards.
What you'd do
You would maintain and extend the existing data platform, check data for consistency and accuracy, and troubleshoot incidents. You take full ownership of the projects assigned to you, document your processes and run knowledge-sharing sessions. Guiding other engineers on data modelling standards such as Inmon, Kimball or Data Vault is also part of the role.
What you need
Working knowledge of AWS data services, experience with Snowflake or Redshift, and skill in writing cost-efficient, optimised SQL. You should have orchestrated pipelines with a tool like Airflow, understand data warehousing concepts, and be familiar with object-oriented programming. Kafka, Git, Terraform, monitoring and visualisation tools, or PowerShell and Unix scripting are a plus. CVs must be in English.
