About the role
ARRISE is hiring a Data Scientist for applied research in computer vision, within its Data Science team. The role is remote and takes ideas from early hypothesis through to models running in production.
What you'd do
You would turn open business problems into testable hypotheses, build prototypes to check them, and pick the model architecture that fits best. Computer vision is the main area, covering object detection, classification and tracking, with room to work on text, audio and tabular data too. You benchmark competing models, track experiments and version models and data, then work with ML Engineers to scale what works and stay involved through deployment.
What you need
A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or another quantitative field, and hands-on deep learning experience that includes computer vision. Strong Python with PyTorch or TensorFlow is required, along with a solid grounding in classical ML and experience with large datasets. Cloud platforms, Docker and CI/CD, vision transformers, generative AI work or a gaming background are nice to have. The company says it will consider people who don't meet every requirement.
