AI summary

Backend engineering role at Betsson Group, working on the Player Account Management area of a multi-brand iGaming platform. Suits backend developers comfortable with distributed, high-traffic systems.

About the role

Betsson Group is hiring a Backend Software Engineer for its Player Account Management (PAM) area in Malta. The team builds the multi-brand platform behind 40+ online gaming brands.

What you'd do
You would build backend features for everything tied to player accounts: sign-up, verification, updates and closure, login and security controls, session management and Responsible Gaming tools. The current stack is .NET C# and .NET Core with Web API and WCF, MSSQL and Couchbase, tested with xUnit and shipped through GitHub and TeamCity. The platform is moving towards microservices and Docker containers, so expect the stack to keep changing.

What you need
Strong .NET C# with knowledge of ASP.NET Web API, and experience building distributed, multi-tier or microservice systems. You should work well with other teams and communicate in English. .NET Core, Docker, a message broker such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or NServiceBus, DevOps experience, or a record of mentoring junior colleagues would count as extras.

About the company
Betsson Group is a sports betting and gaming operator founded in 1963, with more than 2,800 staff of over 75 nationalities, 1,500 of them at its Malta headquarters.
