About the role
RS2 is hiring a Senior Application Developer for its Online Switch, part of the payments software it supplies to Tier 1 financial institutions. The role sits in the Technical Unit and reports to the Senior Software Development Manager.
What you'd do
You would work across the full application life cycle, with most of your time on coding and debugging. That includes writing unit tests, building reusable libraries, and tuning applications for performance and scale. You also help the team define requirements and document solutions so others can follow them.
What you need
An IT degree or equivalent professional qualification and at least 6 years of experience, working in more than one of C/C++, Lua, Ruby, SQL and PL/SQL. Good Linux knowledge, CI/CD experience and strong English are required. NoSQL experience, ideally ScyllaDB or Cassandra, is an asset, and you should be curious about how the payments industry works.
