About the role
Betsson Group is hiring an Engineering Manager for Platform Engineering to lead the teams behind the tooling that application teams use to build, deploy, observe and run their software. The role manages around 10 to 12 engineers across Delivery and Observability.
What you'd do
You would own the domain's roadmap, prioritising platform improvements against operational commitments, and build the team through recruitment, performance and career development. Working with Tech Leads and Architects, you challenge technical decisions and manage risk. You are accountable for platform stability, tracking SLAs, SLOs and service health to cut incidents, and you act as escalation point in major incidents and make sure root cause actions get done. You also partner with application teams and other engineering leaders to remove blockers and improve how the platform serves them. No day-to-day coding is expected, but you review changes and stay close to the technical detail.
What you need
A strong technical background paired with experience leading and developing engineering teams and owning roadmaps and delivery. You should understand platform engineering, cloud, CI/CD, automation and Infrastructure as Code, and have managed SLAs, SLOs and operational metrics. Experience running CI/CD, developer platform, Observability or SRE teams, AWS, and tools such as Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetry are nice to have.
