About the role
Betsson Group is hiring a hands-on Tech Lead for its Platform Engineering team, focused on AWS, cloud and edge technologies. The role leads on technical direction while staying close to the code and infrastructure.
What you'd do
You would shape solutions with Architects, run proofs of concept, review implementations and set engineering standards across cloud and platform work. You coach and unblock engineers and spread knowledge so no one becomes a single point of failure. You lead incident response and root cause analysis, make sure solutions are resilient with proper rollback plans, and treat observability as a first-class concern. Building and improving AWS capabilities through automation and Infrastructure as Code is a core part, working alongside the Kubernetes, Observability, Delivery, Security and Architecture teams.
What you need
Strong production AWS and cloud experience, including edge and networking services such as CloudFront, Route 53, WAF and load balancing, and good working knowledge of Kubernetes. Deep Terraform and Ansible experience with modern CI/CD is required, along with a solid grasp of logs, metrics, traces and SLOs. You should have mentored engineers and led technically without formal management authority, and be able to explain trade-offs and risks clearly.
