About the role
Betsson Group is hiring a Backend Tech Lead for its Sportsbook B2B & Integrations value stream in Malta. The Sportsbook platform is built and run in-house, powers more than 20 brands and is expanding as a B2B product.
What you'd do
You would design and build the more complex pieces of work, run proofs of concept, and make sure the developers' output is high quality through code reviews and mentoring. You align with the area's architects and the other tech leads so the technical direction is consistent, and you own technical excellence initiatives within Sportsbook. Identifying improvements, validating them, and making the case to Product Managers and non-technical audiences is a regular part of the job, along with hands-on development, bug fixing and technical interviews.
What you need
Deep C# and .NET knowledge with expertise in designing distributed microservices, and experience deploying scalable backends on AWS, Azure or GCP. You should know PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis, messaging and event-driven architecture, Docker and Kubernetes, and have a solid grasp of non-functional requirements and coding best practice. A proactive, knowledge-sharing approach is expected.
