About the role
Corinthia Palace, Malta is hiring a Plant Technician to keep the hotel's engineering systems running and maintained. The role also deputises for the Director of Engineering or the Assistant Maintenance Manager when they are away, taking full operational responsibility.
What you'd do
You would look after the daily running of HVAC, boilers, chillers, refrigeration, potable water purification, effluent treatment and swimming pool filtration, alongside general repairs. You would carry out the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programme, make sure statutory inspections are done and filed, and manage the Building Management System (BMS) and asset logs. The job also covers tracking utility use to cut waste and cost, helping source parts and equipment, supporting Duty Maintenance shifts, and keeping management informed while following health and safety law.
What they want
Experience in a hotel or commercial property with complex engineering systems, plus either an HND/HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or at least 5 years of technical work in a similar field. You should know statutory maintenance and safety rules, be comfortable with computers and technical applications, and solve problems well under pressure.
