About the role
AX Hotels is hiring an F&B Host for the restaurant at Verdala Wellness AX Privilege. The host is the first person guests meet and manages the flow of the dining room to Forbes standards.
What you'd do
You would welcome guests, manage reservations, walk-ins and waitlists, and seat people so service runs smoothly, coordinating with the service team on pacing, VIPs and special occasions. You take calls and enquiries about bookings, feedback and special requests, handle concerns and escalate where needed, and keep the host stand and entrance tidy. When required you help with service and cashiering, and you take part in briefings, handovers and training.
What you need
At least 2 years in luxury hospitality or high-quality restaurants, a wine or cocktail certificate, and experience with reservation systems. Fluent English is required, with other languages an advantage, along with a warm, confident manner, strong organisation and accurate cashiering. Knowledge of Forbes standards is preferred. You must currently live in Malta.
