What you'd do
You would clean rooms thoroughly, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming and restocking supplies, and keep public areas presentable. You follow set cleaning procedures, check rooms and spaces for anything that needs attention, report maintenance issues and supply shortages to the supervisor, and handle guest housekeeping requests politely. Health, safety and chemical handling rules apply throughout.
What you need
At least 2 years in the same position, ideally in a 5-star or Forbes Travel Guide-rated hotel, with strong attention to detail and good time management. Fluent English is required, with other languages an asset. You must be able to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
