LeoVegas Group is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel – Privacy in Sliema, Malta, hybrid, full-time. The role leads the strategic development and operational delivery of the group's privacy programme across its brands, entities, and markets. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with privacy laws for assigned entities, serving as Data Protection Officer for designated group entities, drafting and negotiating complex data protection agreements, privacy policies, notices, and cookie policies, advising business units and senior management, leading privacy workstreams in major projects including M&A, handling data subject requests and breaches with associated reporting, liaising with supervisory authorities on complaints and audits, conducting DPIAs and privacy audits, and mentoring junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Recognised legal qualification

  • 4–6 years' progressive experience in a dedicated privacy legal role, ideally in a multinational or complex corporate environment

  • Deep expertise in GDPR and other global data protection laws

  • Experience drafting and negotiating complex data protection agreements and policies

  • Experience acting as DPO or in a similar lead privacy advisory role, including regulatory interactions

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate legal requirements into business solutions

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder-influencing skills

  • Excellent written and verbal English

Nice to have: experience in iGaming, financial services, or technology sectors; relevant privacy certifications.
