About the role
Epic is hiring an IP Network Engineer for its Technology Operations team. The role builds, secures and supports the network across corporate offices, data centres and cloud environments, and takes part in a 24/7 on-call roster.
What you'd do
You would design network architectures and install and configure routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and wireless access points, along with IP addressing, VLANs and routing. Day to day you run health checks, upgrades and patching, troubleshoot LAN, WAN and wireless issues for users and site teams, and resolve outages and performance problems. You administer firewalls, manage IPSec tunnels and support incident response. Network diagrams, configuration documentation and capacity planning input are also yours.
What you need
A degree or diploma in networking, IT or Computer Science and proven experience supporting enterprise networks. Cisco CCNA is required, with CCNP an asset. You need solid knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, QoS, VLANs, 802.11 wireless and IPSec, and network security experience, ideally on Check Point or Cisco ASA. Clear documentation and the ability to work independently are expected.
