Epic is hiring an IP Networks Manager to lead the team that designs, builds and runs its IP network. The role covers the IP core behind mobile and fixed services, corporate access and retail networks, and the connections to external operators.
What you'd do
You would lead the design, rollout and operation of routers, switches, firewalls and related systems, keeping availability, resilience and scalability high and downtime low. Security standards, industry practice and regulation all have to be met. You manage the network engineers day to day, including resource planning, coaching and performance, work with other teams to resolve issues, and own the budget, objectives and KPIs. Keeping the network current with emerging technology is part of the remit.
What you need
An MQF Level 6 qualification in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT or similar, and at least 3 years leading or managing a team in a network or telecoms setting. Strong technical depth in routing, switching, firewalls and fixed access technologies is required, along with a proven record of developing technical teams, good project management and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
