About the role
BNF Bank is hiring an Assistant Branch Manager for its Retail Banking Unit to support the Senior or Branch Manager in running a retail branch. The post combines customer service, sales targets and staff supervision.
What you'd do
You would help manage the branch day to day, look after a portfolio of customers and seek new business from existing and prospective clients, and plan initiatives to hit and beat targets. You train and mentor the team, keep operations sound and compliant with regulations and procedures, and work with the manager on complex problems and on organising your own and your team's work.
What you need
Strong people management skills, knowledge of banking fundamentals and accounting, proficiency in MS Office and excellent business-level English and Maltese. Ideally 2 years as a commercial supervisor or at least 5 years in banking, preferably across 2 or more branches, plus a degree in Banking and Finance, Business Management, Economics or similar.
