About the role
AX Care is hiring a Pool Attendant for its hydrotherapy pool in Naxxar. The role keeps aquatic therapy sessions safe, clean and properly set up for the physiotherapists and their clients.
What you'd do
You would watch over clients during sessions, enforce the pool rules calmly, and be ready to handle emergencies, including calling EMS and giving first aid. You set up the pool area and equipment for each activity and store it safely afterwards, and record participation numbers and activity reports. Cleaning, hoovering and disinfecting the pool to Maltese hygiene standards is part of the job, and you report faults such as hydraulic problems or wrong water temperatures straight away.
What you need
A valid First Aid certificate, plus a lifeguard qualification or the willingness to get one. You should know the basics of pool hygiene and infection prevention, speak good English, stay calm in emergencies and be courteous with clients and patients. Availability for weekends, evenings and holidays is required. Experience in a pool, leisure, healthcare or hospitality setting is an advantage.
