About the role
AX Construction is hiring Shutterers for its building sites across Malta. The job is building the formwork that concrete is poured into, working to drawings and specifications.
What you'd do
You would assemble, fix and later strip shuttering systems, making sure everything is aligned, level and braced before each pour, and adapt the formwork to suit site conditions. You use hand and power tools, check your own work for quality, and flag defects or safety issues to the site supervisor. Looking after formwork materials so they can be reused is part of the role, as is keeping the site tidy and following health and safety rules and PPE requirements.
What you need
Proven experience as a Shutterer, with the ability to read construction drawings and a good knowledge of formwork systems and safe working practice. You must be physically fit for demanding manual work, willing to work outdoors across several sites, and reliable in meeting deadlines. A trade qualification, skill card or construction certification is an asset.
