About the role
GO is hiring a Senior Credit Control Officer to help run the day-to-day credit control function across the group. The aim is prompt collection of receivables and as little bad debt as possible.
What you'd do
You would help the Team Leader apply the group's credit control policies on billing, collections, provisions and write-offs, and contribute to building up the section's processes. You monitor collections across the group, including provisioned debtors, meet regularly with the Commercial team, and deal with lawyers and collection agencies, sometimes representing the company in court.
What you need
An O-Level standard of education, at least 1 year in a customer-facing role and at least 1 year in debt collection, with fluent Maltese and English. You should be able to handle difficult conversations with defaulting clients, work long hours with little supervision, and ideally understand the legal side of debt collection.
