About the role
Vassallo Builders (Vassallo Group) is hiring a Health and Safety Officer to be on site every day. You would keep workers and subcontractors working safely and in line with the site’s safety plan.
What you’d do
You would run safety inductions before anyone starts work, then check PPE use, sign-ins, housekeeping and work against the risk assessments. You would also keep fire extinguishers, first aid kits, PPE stock, signage, exits and assembly points in good order. You would log incidents, near misses and daily observations. You would report hazards to the Health & Safety Consultant and work with the Site Manager to put problems right.
What you need
You need good English, solid organisation and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team. You must currently be residing in Malta. It helps if you hold a qualification in occupational health and safety or a related field.
