About the role
Vassallo Builders is hiring a Mason to build and repair structures in brick, concrete block and stone. The job is full time on the company's construction sites.
What you'd do
You would lay materials to project specifications and to the architect's approved plans, reading drawings and technical specs to get placement and measurements right. You mix mortar and cement to the correct consistency, check material quality and report any defects to your superiors, and work alongside other trades on site. Safety precautions and protective equipment are required at all times.
What you need
The ability to read technical drawings, precision in your work and a good knowledge of construction health and safety rules. You should work well on your own and in a team. Proven experience as a mason is an asset.
