About the role
Corinthia Palace, Malta is hiring a Reservations Agent to turn booking enquiries into confirmed stays. The agent is often a guest's first contact with the hotel and deals with reservations by phone, email and other channels.
What you'd do
You would enter and update bookings across all channels, process changes, cancellations, no-shows and special requests, and keep OTA (Online Travel Agent) extranets in line with the hotel's own systems. The role has a sales side: upselling services and facilities, raising occupancy and room rates, and steering guests towards direct bookings to reduce third-party costs. You would also track availability and deposits, keep guest profiles and correspondence records accurate, and pass booking details to front office, sales and other departments, helping them out at busy times.
What they want
Experience with Opera PMS is required, along with fluent written and spoken English, good communication, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise with little supervision. Familiarity with OTAs and other hotel systems is an advantage, and a degree in hospitality management, tourism and travel or a related subject is preferred. Service is measured against quality standards such as mystery call scores.
