About the role
Melita is hiring an Accountant to strengthen financial oversight and reporting across its international subsidiaries. The role is less about day-to-day bookkeeping and more about challenging the numbers, tightening controls and raising reporting standards across the group.
What you'd do
You would review sales contracts and decide the correct accounting treatment and revenue recognition, then chase, question and validate the financial data coming from each subsidiary so group reporting is complete and on time. You standardise processes and documentation across entities and close gaps in the control environment. On the debt side you track receivables across the group, hold local teams to account on overdue balances and ageing, and propose ways to improve cash flow, such as factoring.
What you need
A fully qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent) or an Accountancy degree, with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience and a solid working knowledge of IFRS and revenue recognition. You should be comfortable working across several entities and international teams, willing to push back on stakeholders, highly organised and able to operate independently. Excellent English is required and German is a plus.
