About the role
FDJ UNITED is hiring an Accountant for its Malta Finance Department on a 12-month cover contract. The role reports to the Malta Financial Controller and handles both month-end and day-to-day accounting.
What you'd do
You would prepare monthly management accounts to tight deadlines, review the P&L and balance sheet at trial balance level and explain any variances. You calculate and pay gaming taxes, help with quarterly VAT returns and intercompany reconciliations, and prepare statutory financial statements for your assigned entities. You are the contact for external auditors and regulators, approve payments, produce ad hoc reports, and support the team's automation and process improvement work.
What you need
ACCA or equivalent, with at least 3 years in a similar accounting or financial reporting role and proven experience preparing statutory accounts. Strong knowledge of IFRS, moderate Excel skills and the ability to hit strict deadlines independently are required. Multinational, iGaming, regulatory reporting or gaming tax experience is a plus.
