Our client is a group of companies within the corporate services field, providing financial, management and legal advisory services. They are currently seeking to recruit a Client Accountant to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a portfolio of clients operating in various industries, whilst actively enhancing client relationships to ensure a high level of quality, efficiency and client satisfaction.
Ensuring that accounting records of client portfolios are maintained in line with applicable accounting standards.
Completing VAT returns, tax returns and management accounts, and liaising with auditors.
Leading projects or ad-hoc financial reporting tasks as delegated by management.
Liaising with the relevant authorities on behalf of clients.
Assisting team members by acting as their primary point of contact and reviewing their work, ensuring effective communication and motivation in line with the company’s vision and values.
Assisting in the onboarding of potential clients.
Assessing and proposing improvements to systems and processes when needed and required.
Identifying further opportunities for growth.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
ACCA qualification or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a client facing role, ideally in a CSP environment.
Proficient in Maltese VAT and tax legislation.
Excellent command of IFRS or locally accepted accounting standards.
Digital literacy and aptitude to operate within multiple digital systems and tools.
Experience with cloud-based accounting software particularly Xero, shall be considered an asset.
Additional Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Fluency in a language other than Maltese is considered an asset
