Role overview
Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) is hiring a mid Big Data / Migration Engineer in Malta, hybrid. The role joins a dedicated Migrations Team and covers designing and maintaining ETL data pipelines, executing migrations from legacy systems to the GiG CoreX platform including schema mapping, validation, and cutover, automating migration processes, monitoring pipelines, mentoring engineers through code reviews, and partnering with product, infrastructure, operations, and compliance stakeholders.
Requirements:
3+ years in data engineering, ETL, or data migration
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field
Strong SQL with structured and unstructured datasets
Experience with ClickHouse, Kafka, and NiFi
Microservices, APIs, and GraphQL knowledge
Nice to have: iGaming or regulated markets experience, ETL automation experience.
