Role overview
MAPFRE Middlesea is hiring a mid Level 2 Platform Ops Engineer in Malta. The role covers Level 2 support for core policy administration platforms across Life and Non-Life insurance, investigating and resolving incidents, monitoring application servers (JBoss, IIS, Tomcat), supporting message queues and event streaming (RabbitMQ, Kafka), performing root cause analysis, using PL/SQL for data troubleshooting, and supporting deployments through Azure DevOps, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline, and container platforms (AKS, EKS).
Requirements:
3–5 years in application support, systems analysis, or system administration
Strong PL/SQL knowledge, working T-SQL
Oracle and SQL Server production support
Application servers (JBoss, IIS, Tomcat) experience
Message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka) exposure
Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent
English B2 written and spoken
Nice to have: insurance platforms experience, Spanish language.
