Malta Marriott Resort & Spa is hiring a Kitchen Steward Supervisor in Malta, full-time, entry-level, on-site. The role oversees daily stewarding operations, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and safety across kitchen and food service areas. Responsibilities include supervising and assigning duties to stewarding staff, overseeing dishwashing and sanitising procedures, maintaining back-of-house cleanliness, training staff on hygiene and safety, managing cleaning supply inventory, conducting inspections, reporting maintenance issues, supporting the Chief Steward, stepping in during peak periods, and assisting with scheduling and attendance records.
Requirements:
Previous stewarding or dishwashing experience, preferably in a hotel
Strong knowledge of sanitation, hygiene, and food safety standards
Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
Good organisation, time management, and attention to detail
Physical ability to lift and handle heavy equipment or supplies
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Nice to have: prior supervisory or team-leading experience.
