Game Mathematician

Job Description:

We are seeking a Game Mathematician to join our dynamic gaming company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a passion for game design. Responsibilities include developing mathematical models for game algorithms, analyzing game performance data, and collaborating with designers to create compelling gameplay experiences. The role requires a blend of analytical skills and creativity to ensure our games are both challenging and enjoyable. A degree in Mathematics or a related field is preferred, along with experience in a similar role within the gaming industry.

Key Responsibilities :

• Work closely with the Lead Mathematician and Product Owners to scope gameplay, features and target hit frequencies and win distributions

• Work with Math Team in order pioneer and prototype engaging mechanics for future titles

• Create and develop engaging game mechanics for gambling products using personal creativity and market knowledge

• Create and maintain math documentation such as PAR sheets

• Design game simulators in order to verify your math and gather statistical data

• Autonomously iterate on your mathematical models to create the optimal game balance based on the business strategy

• Communicate mathematical logic with developers as they build game servers

• Work closely with the test labs when required to get the math certified quickly and efficiently

Skills and Requirements

• Worked as a mathematician in the gambling industry for 1+ years

• Excellent communication skills

• Skills in programming languages such as Java, C, or C# (an ability to design game prototypes is a plus)

• Proficiency in Excel to design and calculate math in PAR sheets

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team, meeting deadlines and ensuring peers understand your methods

• Experience working on different types of slot products (more complicated slots such as gridslots is a plus)
