Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) is hiring a lead Database Architect, hybrid. The role covers defining the long-term database strategy, designing complex database architectures including OLTP systems, developing data models and schemas, optimising performance through indexing and query tuning, establishing data governance policies, and managing database projects with the Database Engineering Team Manager.
Requirements:
8+ years in DBA work, database architecture and design
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Track record leading complex database projects
Deep relational and NoSQL database knowledge
Cloud database platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
SQL Server, Postgres, and MySQL experience
Nice to have: Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell automation, data virtualisation, database certifications.
