Our client, a thriving company in the FMCG sector, is currently seeking to recruit an Internal Audit & Risk Manager to lead their governance, risk and control frameworks as well as support the company’s long-term financial and strategic success.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading and managing the full internal audit cycle, including planning, execution, reporting and follow-up.
Developing and maintaining the company risk register and aligning risks to strategic objectives.
Collaborating with management to anticipate and mitigate risks.
Acting as a second line of defence, ensuring compliance with internal governance frameworks and performing gap analysis.
Conducting statistical analysis for proper risk assessment.
Advising on asset and liability management and optimizing operating models.
Evaluating internal processes for efficiency, productivity, cost optimisation and profitability improvement.
Presenting risk and audit findings to senior management and relevant committees.
Supporting continuous improvement of risk culture and governance standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ working experienced in a relevant industry with a strong financial background.
Excellent understanding of Maltese financial regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong project management skills.
Excellent communication skills.
