Malta Marriott Resort & Spa is hiring an Assistant Maintenance Technician in Malta, full-time, on-site. The role supports upkeep of hotel facilities, guest rooms, and public areas through preventive and corrective maintenance. Responsibilities include routine repairs and inspections, plastering and painting to maintain presentation standards, basic tiling repairs, general maintenance tasks (basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry), reporting malfunctions and hazards, maintaining tools and work areas, following health and safety procedures, assisting with emergency maintenance, and coordinating with other departments to minimise guest disruption.
Requirements:
Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel
Strong hands-on knowledge of plastering and painting
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in a team
Good communication and a service-oriented attitude
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
Nice to have: tile-laying experience; general plumbing, electrical, or carpentry skills.
