Role overview
A vacancy has arisen for the post of Operative within Simonds Farsons Cisk plc. The selected candidate will assume responsibility for operating and maintaining plant machinery, ensuring that all operations adhere to established quality and efficiency standards.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for:
The running of the machinery and processes assigned to him/her, including the controlling of quality and filling out forms related to the ‘Standard Operating Procedures'.
The maintenance of the machinery and plant in line with the SOP, and other duties as may be required.
Assisting in the troubleshooting of faults which cause the production to stop, whilst also assisting in the technical maintenance of the machinery. This also includes the periodic maintenance of overhauls etc. and the quality by implementing tests on the products as indicated by the standard operating procedure.
The ideal candidate will:
Have good communication skills in both reading and writing in English and Maltese.
O Levels certification.
Be computer literate with proven certificate in ECDL.
Be knowledgeable in mechanical and/or electrical field.
Be flexible and willing to learn new machinery according to the needs of the Company.
Be willing to work on roster basis, including night shift.
